Paperback was formed in 1995 and originally started as a small scale recycling business, specialising in the collection of office paper a business that flourished and eventually lead Paperback to expand into industrial scale recycling in 2005.
In 2009, following major investment by Finance Wales, the company radically expanded its processing capability and now recycles over 45,000 tonnes per annum of paper, card, polythene and plastic, into recyclate or waste derived fuel. All materials entering processing at Paperback prior to our handling of the materials would have been sent to landfill.
Paperback commenced processing fuels derived from waste at its Parkway site in North Wales in 2012 and operates this service alongside its recycling division. Further improvement in processing capacity took place in 2013 when the company invested further in energy-from-waste processing plant and a major Fuels Research & Development Program. These latest investments have allowed Paperback to realize increased capacity and range of our recycling/processing techniques and have placed the company in a strong position to supply derived fuels to UK and Europe.
